Welcoming Karishma Gottfried as Minister for Youth and Young Adults

Community Church of New York is thrilled that Karishma Gottfried will be joining our staff as our new Minister for Youth and Young Adults. She’ll be working with our growing and vibrant 13-30 population.

Karishma has been serving Community Church as our Intern Minister for two church years. In December, the Ministerial Fellowshipping Committee affirmed her ministry and passed her into Preliminary Fellowship, thereby giving her the go-ahead to search for ministerial positions. We are very lucky she has agreed to stay with us as we establish this new program, helping our teens find their way, diving into campus ministry in so many of the city’s universities, and building community with the Gen Z crowd.

We will ordain Karishma on May 16 and she will begin in this new position on July 1.
