YOUNG ADULTS
Ablaze Young Adult Ministry
Ablaze is Community Church's young adult ministry, a space for people ages 18–35 to build authentic relationships, ask honest questions, and explore what it means to live with courage and compassion in today's world.
What we do:
Monthly YA coffee hour (1st Sundays, after the service)
Community dinners and social events
Volunteer and justice opportunities
Retreats and special events
Space to build meaningful friendships
Ready to connect?
We’d love to meet you. Reach out to Rev. Karishma, Minister for Youth and Young Adults, at kgottfried@ccny.org, or stop by for coffee hour!
Sparks: Campus Ministry
Sparks is Community Church's campus ministry program, open to students from campuses throughout New York City. We create space for students to ask big questions, build community, and discover ways to make a meaningful difference in the world.
Whether faith has always been part of your life or you're just beginning to explore it, you'll find a community that values curiosity over certainty and welcomes people exactly as they are.
Together we seek connection, purpose, and hope while supporting one another through the challenges and joys of college life.
Where We Gather:
The People’s Forum
Students gather at The People's Forum (320 W. 27th St.) on the first and third Thursday of each month for a free dinner and conversation with Community Church.
New York University
NYU Sparks meets at the Center for Global Spiritual Life (238 Thompson St.) on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. All students are welcome! If you don't have an NYU ID, reach out to Rev. Karishma to arrange guest access.
Columbia University
We're currently building a Sparks community at Columbia. If you're interested in helping launch a campus ministry presence there, we'd love to hear from you.
Your Campus
Don't see your school listed? We'd love to grow. If you're a student at another college or university and are interested in bringing Sparks to your campus, get in touch—we'd be excited to start the conversation.
