GLOBAL COMMUNITY

TO MEMBERS KNOWN AND UNKNOWN…

Community Church of New York is committed to building a world with Love at the Center of Everything, and we welcome everyone who wants to be part of this vision.

Our multiracial, multicultural church has always been a stopping point for people as they make their way in and through New York City. As an international hub, folks pop in for worship when they’re in town which can range from twice a month to once every few years. Regardless of how often they show up, they are part of the fabric of our congregation.

With worship streaming, an active YouTube channel, and so many programs offered online, we have a new opportunity for people to connect with our mission and our people. This comes at a critical moment in both American and global history as historically grounded relationships break down. It is now possible to tap into the work of Community Church even if you are never in NYC.

Our church has reached across international borders in acts of mutual aid for more than a century. Starting with the unusual and historically transformative relationship between Rev. Dr. John Haynes Holmes and Mahatma Ghandi, Community Church understands that Love has no boundaries. Our work continued through the 20th century, housing anti-apartheid work so significantly that Nelson Mandela came to our Sanctuary to thank us, and later welcomed Rev. Bruce Southworth to South African as an election monitor.

We are building our global community and hope you want to be part of it. Whether you are an hour away or on the other side of the planet, we welcome you to our Global Ministry.

Fill out this form to tell us who you are. Let us know how you’d like to connect and we’ll reach out. And, even if you don’t want to connect, but just want to be counted as part of our mission of centering Love in the world, let us know you’re here. Let’s build a network of people, always putting Love at the Center of Everything.
