FUSE

Welcome to FUSE!

We are a NYC-based publication founded at the Community Church of New York dedicated to creating a safe space for young people to openly express their thoughts on religion and spirituality. Now more than ever, ideological distinctions across cultures, often related to religion, have become a dividing force within our communities, widening the gap between otherwise similar groups of people.

The future is in the hands of the younger generations so it’s our responsibility to bridge the gap between our disparate communities and advocate for universal acceptance and understanding. Our belief systems may differ but at each of our cores are the fundamental principles of love, human rights, and curiosity/belief in a power greater than ourselves. Through storytelling, we hope to increase recognition of our common humanity and reduce conflicts that arise out of ignorance, misunderstanding, and/or a lack of sympathy for fellow human lives.

We meet online once a week and work on cool media projects throughout the year. Right now we’re working on issue #2 of the zine, which will go to print late January 2026, and in the spring we’ll start work to develop our first podcast episodes. We’re super excited and welcome more high school teens to join us!
