PRIDE
Join Community Church and march in NYC Pride!
Community Church is excited to once again join the NYC Pride March on Sunday, June 28! CLICK HERE TO RSVP!
We’ll be joined by Unitarian Universalists from congregations across the city, including Fourth Universalist and the First Unitarian Society of Brooklyn, with hopes that All Souls NYC and the Unitarian Church of Staten Island will march with us as well. Whether you’re LGBTQ+ or an ally, everyone is welcome to join our contingent in celebrating and supporting the queer community.
We are still waiting on final details from NYC Pride about our exact gathering location and march time, but we expect to begin sometime around 2pm similar to last year. We anticipate finishing by 6pm, and there are exit points along the route if you need to leave earlier.
Families and people of all ages are welcome. To help make the day more accessible and comfortable, we’ll have a van traveling with our group to carry supplies and provide a place for brief rest breaks if anyone needs time out of the sun.
If you plan to march, please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring plenty of water and sunscreen, and feel free to bring a sign. Most importantly, bring your PRIDE!
