"What have you realized is important to living life as a human being?"
Welcome to Children & Youth
All programming is currently being offered online.
See below for a link to our schedule.
On Sundays, our Children's Chapel is a place where children and youth are given space to center. We recognize that nurturing the spirit is regenerative, and that using tools like meditation, storytelling, and art allows for thoughtful processing of complex concepts.
Using a framework of curricula that incorporates world religions and traditions, our Wednesday Kids' Hour is a space where young people can confidently begin to build their own identities and a sense of spiritual community through interactive stories, games, art, sharing and group activities.
Tuesday evenings we host a Parent Support Circle. This is a precious time to exhale together, share joys & concerns, wisdom, tips and laughter.
We encourage curiosity and welcome diversity in beliefs. At the core of our teaching at Community Church, are the 7 principles of Unitarian Universalism – the first of which is the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
Our programs for children and youth are designed to uplift and empower, and to replace fear of the unknown, with teachings about all the different ways there are of being in the world. With spiritual grounding, concrete knowledge, and space for questioning, our young people learn that their voices matter, their hearts are valuable and that empathy, compassion and diversity are pillars of strength in community.
It's in this spirit that I invite you and your family to join us on Zoom and see what it's all about!
