Our Sunday Online Chapel starts at 9:30am. It's a sacred space for young people to share Joys & Concerns, and to connect with friends old and new. We light the chalice together, sing hymns, and make way for movement or meditation as time allows. Our Chapel welcomes young people ages 5-17, and we invite families with children younger than 5 to attend with their little ones as well!

Our Religious Education Learning Workshops for (ages 5-17) begin right after chapel and run until 11:00am.This year in our workshops, we're learning UU history, starting service actions, making art, playing games and even cooking online!

All 8 UU principles are an integral part of the learning, and we draw inspiration from the 6 UU sources to build a network of understanding about what was, what is, and what can be.

Working in covenant, children & youth in our Sunday programs experience support for the free and responsible search for truth and meaning.

Sunday's with us is where young souls grow! ZOOM IN!

learn to put faith in action using our eight UU principles

Our religious Education programming for Children & Youth at Community is grounded and guided by all eight Unitarian Universalist principles.

The language and concepts of these principles are appropriately adapted for younger age groups and are often taught through art, storytelling and service projects.

It is the general philosophy of our Director of Religious Education that early introduction to powerful terms within a loving framework of spiritual and theological support, and with plenty of space for questioning and conversation, can become an anecdote to fear and judgement, and in fact lead to empowerment, spiritual growth and compassionate action throughout a young person's own faith journey.

      YOUTH PROGRAMS

      ALL 8

      A 10-week Teen Photography Workshop

This one-of-a-kind workshop introduces youth ages 14-17, to a new way of processing all 8 Unitarian Universalist principles .
Each week, participants use one of the principles as their lens as they take shots throughout the week. In each session we collectively explore everyone's individual interpretations and at the end of the 10th week we develop an exhibition film of the work and host an online photography exhibition with artist talk and Q&A.
Participants develop creative community, strengthen understanding of Unitarian Universalism, share technical tips and tricks, develop their compositional eye, and begin thinking about what it means to frame things visually to convey a much deeper message or concept.
Any camera, including phone cameras, are fine for this workshop.

The next ALL8 Workshop starts in Fall 2022.

      Dates TBA
