WELCOME TO OUR PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH
WE HOPE YOU JOIN US FOR A FUN-FILLED FAITH JOURNEY!
All of our programs are currently happening online, so everyone everywhere can join!
Youth & Children's Chapel
every Sunday 10:30 - 11:00am
All families with children ages 0-17 are welcome!
This is a sacred Sunday space where children & youth can quiet their minds, grow their spirits and have fun together.
Sunday Learning Workshops
every Sunday 11:00 - 11:55am
Our Religious Education Workshops for grades K-8 begin at 11:00am every Sunday, directly following Youth & Children's Chapel, and end just in time for our general Sunday Church Service starting at noon.
In our workshops, we integrate Tapestry of Faith curricula, teaching of the 8 UU Principles, and celebrations of world religions and cultural traditions as they occur throughout the church year.
Working in covenant, children & youth experience safer space and support for the free and responsible search for truth and meaning.
It’s music, it’s storytelling, it’s art, it’s open discussion and it’s service to communities.
Sunday's with us is where young souls grow!
All of our programs are currently happening online, so everyone everywhere can join!
Inter-Congregational Programming
Welcome to a World of Possibility!
UU Kids Connect
UU Kids Connect was founded in the Spring of 2020, in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Creating a network of faith support for UU families and congregations, Liberal Religious Education Leaders from a range of UU congregations collaborate in the virtual space to provide Socials, Worship, and Religious Education for young UUs everywhere.
As Co-Founder and Host of UU Kids Connect Programs, The Community Church of New York is proud to announce dates for our Winter Socials (grades K-8)!
REGISTRATION IS FREE & OPEN!
PLEASE NOTE: Registration for UU Kids Connect is separate from our general Community Church Religious Education registration. Thank you for taking the time to do both. You'll be happy you did!

Children & Youth at Community
learn to put faith into action
using our eight UU principles
Our religious Education programming for Children & Youth at Community is grounded and guided by all eight Unitarian Universalist principles.
The language and concepts of these principles are appropriately adapted for younger age groups and are often taught through art, storytelling and service projects.
It is the general philosophy of our Director of Religious Education that early introduction to powerful terms within a loving framework of spiritual and theological support, and with plenty of space for questioning and conversation, can become an anecdote to fear and judgement, and in fact lead to empowerment, spiritual growth and compassionate action throughout a young person's own faith journey.
Partnering with our Community
CCNY Children & Youth were invited to think about matters of inequity and injustice in all areas of life, and to create activist art to be featured in the Gallery35NYC Annual Social Justice Exhibit titled Re-Imagine, and as a digital art quilt video presentation in the
2020 Full Participation is a Human Right Conference and Arts Festival sponsored by The Community Service Society of New York.
