Worship services, at 11:00 a.m. every Sunday, are the heart and soul of our religious community. They include chalice lighting, readings, music, meditation and prayer, and a sermon which often examines spiritual concerns and current issues in the light of lasting truth. Services are broadcast over WWRL 1600 AM each Sunday at 11:30 a.m. TV: in Manhattan on MNN Channel 57 every Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m.
Following worship is a Fellowship Hour to which all are invited for refreshments and conversation. It is a good time to catch up with old friends and to make new ones.
Other activities include special celebrative receptions, luncheons, dinners and weekends away, as well as social and cultural outings and committee meetings on Sundays and during the week.
A full religious education program for children and youth is also an important part of our Sunday experience at Community. They are encouraged to question, to think and grow, and to experience together wonder, doubt, joy, meaning and mystery. For adults, Sunday morning Forums, worship and sermon discussions, educational forums, classes and workshops help us to explore our faith and grow religiously.
Growth & Action
The worship services and the many other activities seek to support personal, spiritual growth and to encourage members and friends to put their faith into action daily. As a congregation, we pursue social concerns in many areas in an atmosphere of caring and fellowship. Please do visit and get to know us!
