Becoming involved in the activities that appeal to you is the best way to get to know others and to gain the satisfaction of being a part of the community that is the Community Church. Personal religious growth is enhanced not only by participating regularly in common worship but also by mutual sharing of ideas and feelings with others in small groups and by service to others. We invite you to join in those programs and activities of your choice and to explore with us the breadth and depth of liberal religion here at The Community Church of New York.
In addition to the information in this Web page, updates and news about other scheduled activities are published in the weekly Community News, Community Monthly, announcements in each Sunday's order of service, and on Sundays at the Activities Committee table during Fellowship Hour. For more information, Valerie Lynch (our Membership Coordinator) and Rev. Bruce Southworth are available by appointment at the church during the week.

Circles Build Community
Join us on select Sundays to share original poetry or a beloved poem with others at the monthly Poetry Circle meeting—or just sit in and enjoy the work of others. Perhaps you'd like something more regular? Then why not join a Community Circle and meet with a group twice a month? Groups are geared towards building community.

An opportunity for those who love to sing to rehearse and sing with our regular choir for selected Sunday morning worship services and special events. You do not need to be available for all events. If you can sing only for particular Sundays or wish to participate in special events, you are welcome. Gerald A. Brown, Director of Music.
