Kingsland Camp Fund

 

The Kingsland Camp Fund committee reviews requests for funds from the Kingsland Camp Special Projects Fund. Available funds are intended primarily for unfunded, one time only special projects within the congregation or denomination that expand the ministry of the church. Ministers, church officials and committee heads can apply for grants. 


KINGSLAND CAMP MEMORIAL FUND COMMITTEE CHARTER

I. FUNCTIONS AND OBJECTIVES

The Kigsland Camp Memorial Fund Committee is charged with considering and evaluating proposals for funds. The committee verifies that proposals meet the following guidelines.

1. Fund must expand the ministries and programs of the Community Church of New York. (Preference will be given to new projects rather than to supplement existing programs of the church.)

2. Funds are intended to serve the membership of the church but can also be used to serve the larger community.

3. Proposals need to include:
- Title of project
- Description of project
- Budget
- Rationale as to how project serves congregations and/or community
- Proposer(s)
- Contact person/writer of proposal
- Other groups, committees, individuals involved

4. Proposals may be submitted by a committee or organized group of the church, Church Council, Board of Trustees, or ministers.

Proposals which meet the above guidelines will be submitted by the Kingsland Camp Memorial Fund Committee to the Board, who shall make the decision on approving the proposals.

II. ORGANIZATION

The Kingsland Camp Memorial Fund Committee consists of at least three, but not to exceed five, members who have been appointed by the Board and the Senior Minister shall serve as ex-officio.

The committee meets as needed.

The committee appoints its own chair.
